Online Poker Room Reviews
Poker Site Reviews |
With so many places to play online poker it really comes down to personal preference. Every site offers just about the same thing in terms of poker, but the promotions vary from site to site. For example, you may enjoy a site that offers lots of multi table tournaments more than you would enjoy a site that offers a lot of freerolls. With that being said I have put together a brief overview of the top poker rooms which highlights some of the best features of each room. If you see anything that seems interesting, click the room's name to read a full, detailed review. The links on the right will also navigate you to the full review of the given poker room.
PokerStars Room Review
PokerStars is the biggest poker room online, and they pretty much offer itall. Lot's of pros play there, and there is definitely no shortage of tournaments. Their bonus is pretty weak, but that's what happens when you are the number one online poker room. They have their strong brand and great product working for them, and they don't need a huge bonus to bring in players like the other sites. In addition to being the most popular online poker room, PokerStars is also the leader in tournaments and cash games. The only bad thing anyone can say about them is that they don't allow rakeback. Also, they recently announced that they no longer allow sharkscope to show information on their players. If you want to know more about PokerStars, read our full PokerStars review.
Full Tilt Poker Room Review
Full Tilt runs a close second to PokerStars when it comes to being the largest online poker room. Full Tilt has some crazy action at the high stakes tables with all of the pros splashing around with six figures in their accounts. It's a lot of fun to watch if you are sitting in a slow tournament and find yourself getting bored. Unlike PokerStars, Full Tilt does offer rakeback at the rate of 27%. FT also offers a bigger bonus than PokerStars. I personally play at Full Tilt since a lot of my friends play there. The frequent player points come in handy when you donk off your chips and don't feel like depositing again. I frequently play in the FPP satellite tournaments just because I can. If you are thinking about playing at Full Tilt but aren't completely sure, you should read our detailed Full Tilt Review. You can learn about all of the details such as deposit bonuses, deposit methods, and available games.
PKR Poker Room Review
Not many players know about PKR, and that needs to change. PKR is a 3d poker room. It really is a lot of fun. The only bad thing about PKR is that they don't accept US players and it takes a while to download the poker client(fancy word for software). If you are playing poker for fun you will definitely enjoy PKR Poker. It is a little slower than the other sites due to the nature of 3d poker (cool animations during hands etc.), but it makes for quality entertainment. If you want to know more about PKR check out our more detailed PKR review for screen shots, bonus details, and deposit options.
Cake Poker
Cake Poker is an up and coming room/network that does a great job keeping players happy. There is a decent amount of people playing on the Cake Poker network which consists of other poker sites like SportsBook Poker and BetUS. They have a unique marketing plan that seems to be working(see the banner to the right). Cake offers some good big money tournaments like the big boys do, and they also have a pretty good rewards program that allows you to participate in tournaments with your points as the buy in. You can read all about Cake Poker in our more detailed Cake Poker review.
